Marin Activity Professional looking for Petaluma person to care, chauffeur, and assist her mother. Must be kind and honest. Daughter will support with first few visits. The care person must be physically in enough shape to help 175 lb person in and out of car and fold and hoist a lightweight wheelchair into a car. Client can walk short distances, is cognizant of all, needs help with navigation skills and safety awareness. Client needs to go to Senior Center near her home and to Library or Park. In honor of Womens’ History Month, join the Legacy Film Festival on Aging for a free virtual screening of the documentary "Standing On My Sisters' Shoulders ," March 17 - April 2, 2023.

A missing chapter of the Civil Rights movement, this powerful documentary reveals the movement in Mississippi in the 1950’s and 60’s from the point of view of the courageous women who lived it and emerged as its grassroots leaders. Big Year for ESCOM
ESCOM's 50th Anniversary is this year, 2023! On Saturday October 14, 2023 from 1-4pm, Emeritus Students College of Marin will celebrate its 50th anniversary at the Bill and Adele Jonas Center at the college's Indian Valley campus in Novato. It will be an engaging afternoon. Activities will include:
- Welcome comments from COM's President David Wain Coon (could be one of the last events before he leaves)

Dedicated to the principle of lifelong learning, its initial program of seven courses for about 80 women and men now offer up to 50 FREE classes with over 1,000 enrollments each quarter. Classes are given at the Kentfield and Indian Valley campuses.
As a pioneer in the innovative use of community colleges for adults, EC was selected as a national model by the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare and helped many institutions initiate similar programs.

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) is a close-knit community of adults, ages 50+, who believe in lifelong learning, engagement and exploration. Our not-for-credit courses and workshops include art history, film, history, politics and economics, literature and language, and science. There are no mandatory exams, assignment or grades.
